Meine Meinung (spoilerfrei):

 

Ich habe viel Gutes über das Buch gehört, weshalb ich es unbedingt selber lesen wollte. Da Englisch nicht meine Muttersprache ist, habe ich mich etwas länger davor gedrückt, das Buch endlich zu lesen, aber nun habe ich es getan. Mir fiel es etwas schwer, in das Buch zu kommen, da ich erst einmal mit dem Schreibstil klar kommen musste. Ich habe am Anfang nicht sofort verstanden, dass die Kapitel aufgeteilt sind in die Sicht von January und dann in jeweils ein Kapitel des Buches “The ten thousand doors”. Nachdem ich dies aber verstanden hatte, konnte ich der Geschichte super gut folgen und ich konnte mit January mitfiebern. Das Buch hat mich direkt an “Das Sternenlose Meer” erinnert. Es ist eine sehr außergewöhnliche Geschichte, hinter der sich mehr versteckt, als man zuerst glauben mag.

January ist eine außergewöhnliche Person. Sie beginnt eine Reise, auf der sie nicht nur sich selbst, sondern auch ihre Eltern und das Leben an sich näher und besser kennenlernt und dort den Sinn des Lebens findet. Ich habe January sehr gerne auf dieser Reise begleitet, da mir der Wandel, den sie vollzogen hat, super gut gefallen hat. Sie wurde von dem schüchternen Mädchen zu einer jungen selbstbewussten Frau, die für sich selbst und ihre Freunde einsteht. 

Durch die Handlung hindurch lernt man immer mehr Personen kennen, die eine große Rolle zum Verlauf der Handlung beitragen. Sie alle sind wichtig für das Buch und für die Entwicklung Januarys. Ich habe es sehr genossen, dass keiner eine unwichtige Rolle spielt, sondern dass alles miteinander verbunden ist und zum Schluss ein großes Gesamtkonzept bildet. 

Das Buch hat mir gut gefallen. Durch den außergewöhnlichen Schreibstil war es oftmals schwer, die Gefühle wirklich nachzuvollziehen und am Anfang etwas schwerer, der Handlung zu folgen. “The ten thousand doors of January” bekommt von mir ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sterne.

I've heard a lot of good things about the book, which is why I really wanted to read it myself. Since English is not my first language, I hesitated a little longer to finally read the book, but now I've done it. It was a little difficult for me to get into the book because I had to get used to the writing style first. At the beginning I did not understand immediately that the chapters are divided into the view of January and then into each chapter of the book “The ten thousand doors”. But after I understood this, I was able to follow the story very well and I was able to cheer for January. The book reminded me directly of “The Starless Sea”. It is a very extraordinary story, behind which there is more hiding than you might first think.

January is an extraordinary person. She begins a journey on which she not only gets to know herself, but also her parents and life better, and finds the meaning of life there. I was very happy to accompany January on this trip because I really enjoyed the change she made. She went from being a shy girl to a young self-confident woman who stands up for herself and her friends.

Through the action, you get to know more and more people who play a major role in the course of the action. They are all important to the book and to January's development. I really enjoyed the fact that nobody plays an unimportant role, but that everything is connected and ultimately forms a large overall concept.

I liked the book a lot. Due to the extraordinary writing style, it was often difficult to really understand the feelings and a little harder to follow the action at the beginning. “The ten thousand doors of January” gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars from me.
